We are looking for a Technical Business Manager to support the expansion of Aventa’s offshore services. The ideal candidate has experience in offshore operations (Oil & Gas and/or Renewables) and is eager to broaden their role to include commercial and strategic activities, contributing to business development and working closely with clients.
Based in Milan or Genoa, this office-based role is designed for engineers who want to leverage their offshore experience while expanding their involvement in client interaction, proposal development and business growth activities.
The candidate will work closely with the Consulting Business Unit management, technical teams, and recruitment teams to support the growth of AVENTA’s activities across the Offshore Energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project and Client Support
• Support the follow-up of ongoing consulting and offshore personnel contracts.
• Participate in client meetings and internal coordination meetings to ensure smooth project execution.
• Assist in monitoring project progress, schedules, and deliverables in collaboration with project managers and technical teams.
• Help ensure that services are delivered in line with client requirements and quality standards.
2. Technical and Commercial Coordination
• Support the technical understanding and presentation of AVENTA’s consulting services and offshore personnel solutions.
• Work closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure alignment between technical capabilities and client expectations.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation and service descriptions for proposals and project delivery.
• Assist in coordinating internal resources involved in ongoing projects.
3. Business Development Support
• Support the identification of new business opportunities within the Offshore Energy sector, particularly offshore wind and marine energy projects.
• Assist in the preparation of commercial proposals, tenders, and technical offers for consulting and offshore personnel services.
• Contribute to market analysis, including monitoring industry developments, competitors, and client needs.
• Support the development of client relationships and participate in commercial discussions with potential and existing clients.
• Assist in maintaining and expanding AVENTA’s client portfolio across Europe and international markets.
4. Collaboration with Recruitment and Operations Teams
• Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to support the identification and sourcing of offshore personnel when required.
• Contribute to staffing discussions and planning for upcoming projects.
• Coordinate with logistics and support teams to facilitate personnel mobilization and project execution when needed.
5. Market Representation and Networking
• Represent AVENTA in meetings, conferences, and industry events when appropriate.
• Contribute to increasing AVENTA’s visibility within the Offshore Energy sector.
• Support the development of partnerships with clients and industry stakeholders.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (preferred) or technical background
• At least 4 years of experience in offshore energy, marine or engineering environments
• Previous exposure to marine operations (e.g. offshore, nearshore installation, QHSE..) in O&G or Renewables is highly valued
• Interest in developing a role combining technical expertise and client interaction
