We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced High Voltage (HV) Cable Jointer for an onshore-based role supporting the landfall and grid connection works of a major offshore wind project located in Long Island, New York. The assignment is expected to run from July 2025 through November 2025, with potential for extension.
Project Context:
This position supports critical onshore operations tied to the electrical infrastructure of a large-scale offshore wind farm. The work includes jointing and termination activities on land cables connecting the offshore wind energy to the local transmission grid.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform jointing and termination work on HV underground land cables.
Ensure all operations are performed in accordance with U.S. safety standards and project specifications.
Collaborate with engineering and on-site installation teams to ensure timely and compliant execution.
Handle various joint types, including optical fiber and terminations with different conductor materials (Alu, Cu, Cu Em, Milliken).
Maintain accurate documentation of all jointing work performed.
Certifications / Requirements:
Work Authorization: Candidates must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety and Health Certification (mandatory for onshore U.S. construction sites)
Valid HV electrical certification from a recognized body (EU or U.S.)
Offshore survival or electrical safety training (e.g., BOSIET, GWO) is a plus, but not required for this onshore role.
Language Requirements:
English: Mandatory (professional working level)

Proven experience with:
90kV
132kV
220kV land cable systems
Competency in jointing technologies for:
Copper and aluminum conductors
Milliken construction
Screened and unscreened cables
Integration of optical fiber elements
Assignment Details:
Location: Long Island, New York (onshore site)
Start Date: July 2025
End Date: Approx. November 2025
Schedule: Full-time, on-site presence required during key phases of construction
