Installation Engineer (France projects)

Role Definition

We are actively looking to hire a Project Installation Engineer for offshore power cables projects in the France area, with experience in method statements/Installation procedures to cover the following:

• Act as a technical interface with the client for document preparation

• Act as technical point of contact for scopes of work within the project

• Report to Installation Department outcome of meetings and technical discussions

• Critically evaluates technical and contractual information

• Analyses and understands customer technical challenges

• Development of technical design solutions against client scope of work.

• Fully grasps all engineering challenges and effectively utilizes engineering tools and techniques to overcome challenges as they occur

• Develops technical procedures associated with installing cables in the offshore marine environment

• Ensures that the engineering technical solution provision is best in class and effective with respect to cost, quality, and Safety

• Confront with any potential subcontractor and/or end clients and/or authorities, to follow-up any comments on the installation documentation produced.

Engineering including preparation of method statements for the following activities:

• Cable burial risk assessment (CBRA)

• Route Engineering

• Burial assessment study (BAS)

• Survey works

• Cable installation works

• Pre-sweeping/ dredging works

• Mattress installation works

• Rock placement (rock dumping)

• Trenching works

• Cable pull-in at landfall and at offshore substation

Qualification

• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD/GIS (at least for viewing purposes) is mandatory

• Minimum ability to interpret geotechnical data is mandatory

• An advantage to having a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degrees in Engineering Technology or other Engineering related subjects

• Good word processing skills;

Conditions

Remote work is potentially possible with face-to-face meetings required approximately once per month in Milan

Visit to sites, located onshore in France, may be requested
