Role Definition
We are actively looking to hire a Project Installation Engineer for offshore power cables projects in the UK area, with experience in method statements/Installation procedures to cover the following:
Act as a technical interface with the client for document preparation
Act as technical point of contact for scopes of work within the project
Report to Installation Department outcome of meetings and technical discussions
Critically evaluates technical and contractual information
Analyses and understands customer technical challenges
Development of technical design solutions against client scope of work.
Fully grasps all engineering challenges and effectively utilizes engineering tools and techniques to overcome challenges as they occur
Develops technical procedures associated with installing cables in the offshore marine environment
Ensures that the engineering technical solution provision is best in class and effective with respect to cost, quality, and Safety
Confront with any potential subcontractor and/or end clients and/or authorities, to follow-up any comments on the installation documentation produced.
Engineering including preparation of method statements for the following activities:
Cable burial risk assessment (CBRA)
Route Engineering
Burial assessment study (BAS)
Survey works
Cable installation works
Pre-sweeping/ dredging works
Mattress installation works
Rock placement (rock dumping)
Trenching works
Cable pull-in at landfall and at offshore substation
Qualification
Autocad software experience is mandatory;
Italian and English are mandatory;
An advantage to having a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degrees in Engineering Technology or other Engineering related subjects
Good word processing skills;
Surveyor background and GIS software experience are a plus
Conditions
Remote work is potentially possible with face-to-face meetings required approximately once per week in Milan
Visit to sites, located onshore in northern England, may be requested
