Job description:

As a core member of Aventa Engineering team, the Junior Subsea Analysis Engineer will work on a diverse range of subsea installation and design analyses scopes for our clients. Main clients are international and state-owned EPCI contractors and E&P companies in the Oil & Gas and Marine Renewable industry.

Main scope of services for subsea analysis engineer is:

- Undertake and collaborate design and installation analysis and calculations of various Oil & Gas and Marine Renewable projects

- Subsea pipeline installation analysis for S-Lay, Reel-lay and J-Lay methods

- Subsea cable installation analysis for CLB, Pull-in analysis, etc.

- Installation analyses of in-line structures

- Subsea pipeline installation advanced analyses

- Field layout development (pipeline and cable routing)

- Subsea pipelines basic design (mechanical sizing, on-bottom stability, free span analysis, on-bottom roughness, expansion, crossings design)

- Subsea cable basic design (on-bottom stability, free span analysis, on-bottom roughness)

- Subsea pipelines advanced design

- Naval architecture related activities (mooring, seakeeping, vessel motions verification)

- Structural design for temporary and permanent structures (rigging, seafastening, subsea structures)

- Development and validation of in-house tools

Responsibilities:

Subsea analysis engineer will take responsibility for engineering tasks and perform associated calculations:

- Subsea installation and design based on project requirements, client’s specifications and international standards

- Perform design and installation calculations utilizing the in-house tools and specialized commercial software

- Write and check calculation notes

- Prepare presentations for analysis progress review meetings and write dedicated analysis reports

- Undertake assignments in other Aventa Group offices

Skills and Experience:

You should possess an engineering degree in areas such as Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Marine/Naval Technology, Offshore Technology or a similar field

Mandatory requirements:

- Basic understanding of FE analysis

- Basic skills of programming and scripting languages (Excel VBA, Python, etc.)

- Good communication skills; Professional level of writing and speaking in English

- A good team player. Self-motivated with a drive for results, improvement and innovation

- A comprehensive problem-solving

- MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)

Other valuable skills and experience:

- Advanced understanding of FE methods

- Programming/scripting skills with focus on Python

- Fluency in other language (Italian, French, etc.)
