Project Engineer

We are looking for a Project Engineer with a strong background in subsea cable installation to support the delivery of a major offshore wind project. This role serves as a critical link between the Engineering team and Project operations, combining technical understanding with solid project coordination skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to prepare the project on an operational level, support decision-making processes, and actively represent the team in client-facing meetings.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the bridge between Engineering and Project Management, ensuring engineering deliverables align with operational execution needs.

• Prepare and manage project tasks on an operational level, supporting decision-making with clear technical and logistical input.

• Participate in client meetings to report progress, present technical topics, and align on next steps.

• Support the planning and execution of subsea cable installation works (export cables, inter-array cables, landfall), ensuring technical feasibility and compliance.

• Collaborate with engineering and back-office teams to track progress, coordinate documentation, and manage interfaces.

• Provide on-site and offshore support when needed, offering technical guidance and real-time issue resolution.

• Contribute to the review of installation procedures, method statements, and risk assessments.

• Ensure all activities comply with project specifications, HSE standards, and relevant regulatory frameworks.

Profile:

• Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Marine, Offshore, or related field).

• Strong hands-on experience with subsea cable installation, ideally in offshore wind or marine energy projects.

• Proven ability to manage technical aspects of project preparation with a focus on execution readiness and stakeholder communication.

• Experience representing technical teams in client meetings and supporting project management with decision-making tools.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to coordinate across disciplines and with multicultural teams.

• Fluent in English (spoken and written); other languages are a plus.

• Proactive, structured, and solutions-oriented approach with a team-player mindset.
