Role Summary

Under the responsibility of the AIMS Manager, your main mission will be to support the operational and technical management of the Asset Integrity Management System (AIMS) for the offshore KAOMBO block in Angola. You will coordinate and oversee inspection, integrity, and risk management activities for pressure equipment and critical structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Monitor and ensure the execution of inspection plans (5W, 4Q, 60Q) in alignment with project schedules and regulatory requirements.

  • Implement and maintain Risk Based Inspection (RBI) processes, Fitness For Service (FFS – API 579) assessments, and deferral management.

  • Prepare, review, and validate technical documentation, including Statements of Work (SOW), anomaly reports, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Provide technical supervision and guidance to inspection teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and project specifications during shutdowns and routine operations.

  • Utilize and manage data within IDMS (Integrity Data Management System) and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track asset integrity and maintenance activities.

  • Lead and facilitate technical reviews, including Risk-Based Assessments (RBA), shutdown planning, and audit preparations.

  • Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards (e.g., NACE, ASTM, ASME, API) and client-specific requirements.

  • Support the AIMS Manager in identifying and mitigating risks associated with asset integrity, proposing corrective actions as needed.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and HSE, to align integrity management activities with overall project objectives.

  • Participate in and contribute to audits, inspections, and technical meetings to ensure continuous improvement of the AIMS framework.

  • Provide mentoring and technical support to junior engineers and inspection personnel to enhance team capabilities.

  • Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with the latest Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) procedures and company policies.

Work Environment

  • The role is based in Puteaux or Montigny-le-Bretonneux (Île-de-France), with occasional missions to Angola or other project sites as required.

  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including operations, maintenance, HSE, and external contractors.

  • Regular interaction with client representatives and third-party inspection agencies.

  • Working hours align with local regulations and company policies, with potential flexibility required during critical project phases or shutdowns.

Sought Profile

  • Education and Certifications:

    • Engineering degree (BEng or equivalent) in mechanical, materials, or a related field.

    • Certifications: API 510, API 570, API 579, CSWIP Plant Inspector, or equivalent. NDT Level 2 (UT, RT, PT, MT) is a strong asset.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 10 years in asset integrity management, with a focus on pressure equipment and critical structures.

    • At least 5 years of experience working on FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) units or similar offshore assets.

    • Prior experience with clients in the Oil & Gas sector, particularly in Angola or West Africa, is highly desirable.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Risk Based Inspection (RBI), Fitness For Service (FFS), and deferral management processes.

    • Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards, including NACE, ASTM, ASME, and API.

    • Experience with IDMS and CMMS tools for asset integrity and maintenance management.

    • Ability to interpret and apply technical specifications, inspection reports, and engineering drawings.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal), with the ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders.

    • Strong leadership and coordination skills, with experience supervising technical teams and contractors.

    • Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach to address integrity challenges.

    • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to dynamic project requirements.

  • Additional Requirements:

    • Willingness to travel internationally, including to Angola, for short-term missions as needed.

    • Commitment to upholding HSEQ standards and promoting a culture of safety and integrity.
