The position holder is responsible to supervise HSE activities/documents within the Ijmuiden Ver project, related to onshore and nearshore installation, ensuring compliance with clinet's HSE MS, Client and contractual requirements.
He is also responsible to control client's and subcontractors’ site activities, ensuring compliance with Project HSE Plan, and local regulatory framework requirements, related to Health, Safety and Environment.
The assignment will initially be part-time, requiring approximately 2 days per week, including both remote and Veerse Mer site visits. The possibility of increasing the workload will be evaluated as the project progresses.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities described here are not exhaustive and the job holder may be asked by his line manager to carry out other tasks appropriate to the position.
· To ensure that all HSE activities at construction site(s) are carried on in accordance with the Holland applicable laws and regulations, client requirements and client's HSE MS related to Health, Safety and Environment.
· To assist Project HSE Managers in Risk Management process (i.e. Design and Detailed HAZID).
· To facilitate accidents/incidents investigation and to carry out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans at site level.
· To conduct HSE inspections and audits on subcontractors involved in project activities and to create the related reports, ensuring a follow-up of the outcome.
· To develop and perform project safety training / induction and contribute to the implementation at site level of client's safety behavioral initiatives, also including suppliers and subcontractors.
· To monitor, evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of the HSE Plans and propose improvement actions.
· To collect all Safety Observation Cards and monitor follow up.
· To collect all the required HSE KPIs and to report them to the Project HSE Manager.
· To ensure the proper waste management, including segregation, collection, and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, DESIRED SKILLS
· Proven health & safety experience and behavioral standards within Projects in the energy or construction sectors;
· Recognized professional health and safety qualification such as Degree or NEBOSH qualification at a level commensurate with the criticality of the defined key role;
· Technical Degree (engineering).
· Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 series standard; Be qualified as lead auditor will be a plus
· Strong leadership, team player. People management/influencing and organizational skills.
· High PC literacy.
· Driver license
· Knowledge of dutch HSE legislation will be considered an important plus
