Aventa is looking for an experienced Marine & Subsea Draftsman / Designer to support offshore and subsea engineering and installation projects. The role involves creating and delivering technical drawings, 3D models, and storyboards for offshore installations, collaborating closely with project engineers and offshore teams to ensure designs comply with industry standards and project requirements.
Role & Responsibilities
Develop detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, installation sketches, field layouts, and storyboards for offshore/subsea installations
Prepare and review installation analyses and identify clashes or interferences
Create and update 3D CAD models according to project requirements
Ensure all design and drawing work complies with industry standards, project specifications, and HSE requirements
Collaborate with marine installation engineers, survey engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements
Participate in project meetings to discuss design issues, propose solutions, and resolve technical challenges
Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness
Maintain organized project documentation, including revisions and technical files
Support offshore teams with technical drawings and visualizations for installation operations
Profile & Requirements
Strong adaptability and ability to integrate into a marine engineering project team while being autonomous and proactive
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
High attention to detail and precision in preparing technical deliverables
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and 3D modeling/rendering software
Ability to interface with marine project engineers and understand installation procedures and methodologies
Previous experience preparing and reviewing installation drawings, 3D storyboards, and animations for offshore/subsea O&G projects
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the offshore/subsea Oil & Gas industry
Experience managing assigned tasks within multidisciplinary teams
Bachelor’s degree (Bac+3 minimum) in Marine Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Naval Engineering, Mechanical Design, Drafting, or related field
