Aventa is looking for an experienced Subsea Installation Engineer to support offshore installation activities within an O&G project environment.

The role will involve close collaboration with the client’s Marine Installation Engineering team to ensure the successful preparation and execution of offshore operations, in compliance with project schedule, technical standards, and QHSE requirements.

Role & Responsibilities

The selected candidate will work closely with the Marine Installation Engineering team to ensure the proper preparation and execution of offshore operations, in line with project schedule, technical standards, and QHSE requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and delivering installation engineering documentation in accordance with project planning and applicable offshore standards

  • Preparing and reviewing installation procedures, technical reports, HAZID/HAZOP documentation, Marine Readiness Reviews, and related operational documents

  • Ensuring alignment between installation procedures and hydrodynamic analyses, incorporating technical recommendations

  • Monitoring tools and equipment readiness to avoid delays in vessel mobilization

  • Participating in risk assessments and preparation of Job Safety Analyses (JSA)

  • Defining resource requirements (personnel, equipment, vessels) and coordinating mobilization/demobilization

  • Supporting pre-installation testing activities

  • Providing technical support during offshore operations (including offshore participation when required)

  • Contributing to operational reports and Lessons Learned documentation

  • Preparing progress reports and participating in client meetings

Profile & Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Marine Engineering, Maritime Engineering, or Offshore Engineering

  • Proven experience in drafting and reviewing marine & subsea installation procedures (SURF – cables, flexible pipes, umbilicals) within O&G projects

  • Experience interfacing with installation analysis engineers and reviewing analysis reports

  • Previous participation in HAZID, HAZOP, and Marine Readiness Reviews

  • Offshore experience onboard construction and installation vessels, including mobilization and demobilization

  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project; knowledge of AutoCAD is required

  • Fluent English (written and spoken); Portuguese is a plus

Certifications

  • Valid Offshore Medical Certificate

  • Valid BOSIET certificate

  • Seaman’s Book (if available)
