Role summary
• Provide specialist skills and knowledge in key areas of subsea structural and piping design engineering, including design codes, legislative requirements, and good engineering practice
• Coordinate engineering activities during Bid and Execution phase of EPCI projects in line with defined budget and schedule for subsea permanent structures (SSVS, ILT, steel sleepers, etc.) and installation aids
• Manage the execution of detailed structural / piping analysis and calculations for lifting, transportation, installation, in-place phases of subsea structures
• Coordinate draftsman team for issuance of fabrication drawings
• Check and approve design basis, design reports, drawings and MTO
• Ensure close interface with other engineering departments (pipeline, geotechnical, materials, flow assurance, installation) to incorporate internal and external review comments and facilitate a smooth approval of the deliverables for construction
• Support engineering for procurement activities for structural and piping material required for subsea structures
• Liaise with fabrication yard to ensure the constructability of the design and solve any design issue arising during fabrication
• Be aware of contractual requirements and promptly highlight deviations to the Project Management Team
• Issue TQs to Client as required to collect all the required input for the subsea structures design

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• 8+ years' relevant experience in subsea structures design and analyses during Bid and Execution phase of EPCI projects
• 5+ years’ experience in subsea structure design
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, regulations and best practices for structural and piping design (API, AISC, ISO, ASME, DNV, Noble Denton)
• Proficiency in the use of software for structural and piping design (SACS, ANSYS/ABAQUS, Mathcad) and MS Office tools
• Knowledge of subsea components (flanges, piping, valves)
• Civil, Mechanical or Marine engineering degree
