Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer with 5 to 10 years of expertise in the field of cable manufacturing, specifically in dynamic cables, inter-array, and export cables. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, development, testing, and optimization of advanced cable systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance for industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Development:
Develop and optimize cable systems, including dynamic, inter-array, and export cables, to meet project specifications and industry standards.
Conduct electrical, thermal and rating analyses for cable performance and durability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on material selection and manufacturing processes.
Quality Assurance:
Implement and maintain testing protocols to ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE).
Oversee factory acceptance tests, type tests, and qualification tests.
Identify and resolve quality issues during production and post-manufacturing phases.
Project Management:
Provide technical support and guidance to project teams during the planning, installation, and commissioning phases.
Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and alignment with project goals
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
Research and integrate emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance cable performance and reduce costs.
Lead initiatives for process improvement and automation within the manufacturing environment.
Sought Profile
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience: 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in cable manufacturing, with expertise in dynamic cables, inter-array, and export applications.
Strong knowledge of cable design tools and simulation software (e.g., COMSOL, MATLAB, or similar).
Familiarity with international standards and certifications (e.g., IEC 60228, IEC 61892).
Skills and Competencies
Proficient in electrical testing methodologies and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong project management and communication abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with offshore energy projects (e.g., wind farms, oil and gas).
Knowledge of subsea or high-voltage cable systems.
Understanding of sustainability practices and materials in manufacturing.
Spoken Greek preferred, not mandatory
