Role summary
The Project Material Logistics Supervisor has the responsibility to implement & manage the specific logistics linked to cargo, equipment and material mobilized for the SLGC project.
Responsible for the efficient, timely and accurate preparation and delivery of material and equipment mobilized for the SLGC project, focusing in priority on the import / export documentation to ensure smooth material and equipment movements during the project.
This task shall be executed within the out most respect of all Subsea7 procedures, code of ethics and HSES policy.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provides expertise and supports the Project Logistic manager in all matters linked to material and equipment logistics,
Issue and follow up with Operations department, Projects, Internal Departments, Offshore Resources and agent the requests related to material logistics on SLGC project,
Work with the project logistic agent and client (if required) to understand process and support on the importation and exportation of material and equipment for SLGC project,
Support and accompany the In-Country Operations Logistics team to continuously improve on the equipment and material logistic aspects,
Monitor and guide on evolution of laws, decrees, related to logistics and customs in Angola,
Review and up-grade the documentation, guidelines and procedures related to Freight Forwarding on projects,
Responsible on the project to develop and maintain strong archive system, records for all Freight forwarding files, shipments from requests, to Payment, including customs declaration and associated documents,
Follow up & Report all project’s cost commitments, related to Material Logistic activities, to Operation Manager and Project Logistic Manager,
Work with projects and departments to check volumes, costs consistency and report accurately. Daily control and follow up of requests, files, to monitor and anticipate workload for in country organization,
Ensure the In-country Logistics team take ownership for transportation, transit and customs clearance of all material and equipment for the project,
Ensure all material logistic Operations are anticipated, well prepared, documented
Management of the importation/exportation of goods and transfer to worksites for projects, vessels (...),
Liaise with logistics agent for any issue and any potential claims linked to freight forwarding and material logistic,
Support identification and promotion of lesson learnt process and be a force of proposition to improve processes and tools,
Develops self and encourages development of others,
Expected to contribute to creating a culture of ethics and integrity within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to our Code of Conduct.

Sought Profile
Essential
Significant experience in a previous Logistics role Manager,
Experience in a similar position abroad with direct management of multicultural teams,
Minimum Ten years’ experience in Oil & Gas Business within logistics,
Strong knowledge of customs regulations, transit, Shipping rules,
Good knowledge of Cost Control Procedure and Reporting,
Excellent administrative, time management skills and communications skills,
Effective interpersonal and communication skills and accurate reporting, both written and verbal,
Able to work under pressure,
Knowledge of Health, Safety & Quality,
Microsoft Pack office – Advanced,
Fluent in English (oral and written)
Desirable
Knowledge of SAP Software,
Portuguese (nice to have)
